Orthophoto

An orthophoto is an aerial photograph/satellite images/drone images or images geometrically corrected (orthorectified”) such that the scale is uniform: the photo has the same lack of distortion as a map.

The objective of orthophoto generation is, therefore, to eliminate any distortions owing to camera tilt and ground relief, thereby maintaining the scene/image’s actual dimensions. Orthophoto generation requires georeferenced photos and a Digital Surface Model (DSM). We have successfully delivered several thousand square kilometers of Orthophoto Production over the past 8 years that involves processing more than 10 million images.

Orthophoto services we offer:

Multiband Image Processing

We deliver orthophoto mosaics according to Client’s requirements and also capable of generating RGB as well as CIR(RGBI) orthophotos. Color infrared (CIR) enhances aerial images of vegetation by coloring the green vegetation red in color. CIR orthophotos are generally used to determine the area of vegetation.

Terra Photo image Processing

TerraPhoto is specifically developed for processing images captured together with laser data during a survey mission. The software enables the production of rectified images and ortho mosaics based on ground model that has been extracted from the laser data.

We can generate orthophotos with the client-supplied inputs i.e. Trajectory,Project file, Laser point data, TIFF images captured while flying, Ground control points (GCPs), Camera calibration file.

True Ortho Generation

True orthophotos are orthophotos on which all the defects are corrected including the leaning due building heights and on which every object is in its correct geometric position on the document. Several methods have developed to generate true orthophotos.
